1. How much are lessons?

Monthly Lesson Rates:

*30-minute weekly class session

Monthly Total: $110

*30-minute weekly private session

Monthly Total: $130.00

Billing Policy. Many times it is an inconvenience for everyone involved to keep up with how many lessons a student has missed or attended. Payments are different every month and those who choose to miss often take up spots for students who are on the waiting list. In order to alleviate this situation, tuition is the same every month – regardless of how many weeks/lessons are in that month or how many lessons are canceled by the student. We will process payments at the beginning of each month. All private lesson students will owe $130 per month and all group lesson participants will make a payment of $110 monthly.

There are 52 weeks in a year, but there will only be 48 lessons each calendar year (the instructor will take four weeks off per year which are listed below). Therefore, we take the 48 lessons and divide them by the 12 months in the year, so we charge for an even four lessons every month. This is how we have developed the tuition structure listed above. Because these four weeks off each calendar year are built into the monthly tuition, the lessons these weeks will not be credited or rescheduled. Additionally, the studio is closed on the following holidays: New Years Day (If it does not fall under the two weeks off for Christmas), Memorial Day and Labor Day. If a student’s regularly-scheduled lesson falls on one of these days, it will not be credited or rescheduled.

*If the instructor is ill or there is another emergency causing the studio to close unexpectedly the student’s bill will reflect this and a refund will be made. If there is inclement weather which causes the studio to close, the student will not be refunded tuition.

Vacations/Extended Absences. Many events arise throughout the year such as extracurricular activities, vacations or camp. These may cause the student to miss a certain number of lessons but then return after a short period of absences. Obviously, as stated above, there will be no lesson credits or make-ups, however, if the student wishes to keep his or her time slot, they may pay to reserve their lesson time by paying for the lessons they intend to miss. For instance, if a student is going to be absent from lessons for one month because of camp or vacation, they have the option to pay for the month they will miss or give up their slot to a student on the waiting list. If the student opts not to pay for the missed lessons, they will be moved to the waiting list. A student is not allowed to give their spot to a friend or family member. Lesson times are a contract between the instructor and the specific student chosen by the teacher to fill that 30-minute time block. If a student relinquishes their lesson spot, only the instructor may decide who will fill the open lesson time.

Payment Due Date. Payment is expected for all students enrolled at the beginning of the month, whether they attend lessons or not. We have a specific lesson time reserved for each student, thus payment must be made regardless of attendance. This includes illness, holidays, vacations, etc. Refunds for missed lessons are not available regardless of reason. If payment is not made by a student’s first lesson time of the month, a $20 late fee will be assessed.

2. How often will we meet and for how long?

Upon enrollment, you will choose a weekly time for your lesson. That lesson time will stand until you or the instructor decides to change it. If there is a scheduling conflict which arises, please inform the administrative assistant at the end of the month that you need to change your lesson time. If it is possible, we will accommodate you. We promise to do everything we can to meet your needs.

Lessons are once each week at your reserved time for 30 minutes.

*Please note that there are times when the instructor will go over with a lesson in order to complete a task with the student. If your lesson does not begin on time due to the instructor, that time will be credited and made up either at the end of the lesson or at another scheduled time during the week. If a parent needs their child to leave before the instructor is finished, please come into the studio and address the instructor.

3. Where are you located?

We are conveniently located just off Chisholm Trail Parkway in the southwest part of Fort Worth. Please text (817) 726-0247 for our address.

4. If I am dropping my child off for guitar lessons, where do I wait?

You are welcome to wait in the waiting area just inside our front door where you can observe your child's lesson. Most parents run a quick errand or like to just wait in their vehicle until the lesson is over. The lessons can get pretty loud! In the end, you are welcome to do whatever you like and we will accommodate you in any way possible.

5. Any other "rules" I should know about?

Bring all material needed for the lesson. First, all students must have their own guitar correctly strung and in full working order with their own pick. If you do not have a guitar, we can help you find one to purchase prior to starting lessons. We will find an instrument that fits your budget. If your guitar is in need of repair, please let us know and we will do what it takes to get it fixed. If your guitar needs to be re-strung or the intonation needs repair, this will be done during the lesson time. You must also bring all written material to your lesson. This includes song study sheets and any other printed material you are given by your instructor. We will issue a folder for this material and it is your responsibility to bring it to each lesson.

Ceasing lessons.   While we hate to see any student move on, we understand that committing to guitar lessons is not always possible. If this is the case, we ask that the student make us aware of their intention to stop taking lessons at least two weeks in advance so that their spot can be filled by someone on our waiting list.

Studio Operation. The studio will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays as well as dates noted on the front page of the website.

Thanksgiving Break - November 20 - 24

Christmas Break - December 19 - January 1 *Please note that we start the break on a Tuesday this year.
